Awareness session on mental health at The Mabayi Hospital

The Mabayi Hospital, founded in 1980, stands in the western region, specifically in the Cibitoke Province. Positioned entirely within the Rusizi watershed, it borders the Democratic Republic of Congo.

NACHAM AFRICA initiated a mental health awareness drive at the hospital under the Remesha project, it was amazing to see 212 patients and caregivers.

The agenda was packed with a detailed briefing on the prevailing mental health landscape in Burundi, along with interactive theater sessions as part of awareness initiatives, emphasizing the crucial role of availing psychological support services.
