Awareness session on mental health at the Mugwi commune

In the natural region of Migwa, the Mugwi commune stands as one of the communes within Cibitoke province, located in the western part of Burundi.

In its dedicated efforts to advance mental health awareness, NACHAM AFRICA orchestrated a session within the local community. The focal point was the central market of Mugwi, where the agenda included:

– Providing an in-depth analysis of the prevailing mental health landscape in Burundi.
– Engaging the community through interactive theater to vividly portray the origins and repercussions of mental health challenges.
– Encouraging the community to utilize existing psychological care facilities.
– Facilitating discussions with the community regarding appropriate responses to mental health issues.
