I have been working at Kabezi Hospital in the sterilization department for more than ten years.
Since UNICEF’s departure, the situation has become particularly difficult for vulnerable and marginalized people, especially women who had recently given birth. Due to a lack of adequate nutrition, some of them would become very weak and struggle to regain their strength after childbirth.
Since the arrival of NACHAM AFRICA, we have seen a significant change. Patients now receive nutritious porridge in the morning and a meal at lunchtime. This support is particularly important for patients who do not have relatives or anyone available to bring them food.
We sincerely thank NACHAM AFRICA for this initiative and for its commitment to supporting patients. We strongly hope that this program will continue for five, or even ten years, because it provides invaluable support, not only to the hospital staff but, most importantly, to the patients who need it the most.

I come from Mubone Hill, Kabezi Commune. I am accompanying my daughter, who is currently hospitalized following childbirth. Unfortunately, after giving birth, her wound did not heal properly, which required her to receive medical care at the hospital.
Since we do not have anyone here to bring us food, NACHAM AFRICA has been a tremendous help to my daughter and me. Since our arrival at the hospital, there has not been a single day when we have gone without food, thanks to their support.
This food assistance has been particularly important for my daughter, as it is helping her gradually regain her strength and cope better with this difficult period.

I am originally from Mwaro Province, located approximately 80 to 90 km from Bujumbura, which generally takes around 2.5 to 3 hours by car.
Following a serious illness, I spent one week in a coma. When I regained consciousness, my health was still very fragile, and I was unable to keep any food down because I would vomit everything I ate. As a result, I was struggling to regain my strength.
During this difficult period, NACHAM AFRICA provided invaluable support to my wife and me. Since we come from far away and do not have family in Bujumbura to support us, this food assistance has been extremely important to us. We receive nutritious porridge in the morning and a meal at lunchtime.
Thanks to this nutritional support and care, I have gradually regained my strength and am now recovering. I am also beginning to regain the weight and physical condition I had before my illness.
My wife, my family, and I sincerely thank NACHAM AFRICA for everything they do for us and for other patients. Their support means a great deal to people like us who come from far away and are going through difficult times.
