NACHAM AFRICA in partnership with SaCoDé , SAVONOR and LIQUIDS celebrated the World Menstrual Hygiene Day with women and girls hospitalized and care taker at Prince Régent Charles Hospital.
🎯Information session on the physiology (origin) of menstruation was given by Dr Jean Bosco NDAYISHIMIYE , Program Coordinator at NACHAM AFRICA,
🎯 He called on the participants to break taboos and destigmatize menstruation while living their period with dignity.
🎯 according to this Medical doctor the regular appearance of menstruation is one of the proofs of good reproductive health that they should live with pride, he therefore insisted on the diseases related to lack of hygiene and their immediate and late consequences before to give the floor to Mrs. Odile NIJIMBERE from SaCoDé who spoke about good hygiene practices during menstruation, the proper use and conservation of washable sanitary napkins “AGATEKA” which were distributed to all women and girls of age genital activity present with washing soaps.
