  • The “Umutsima w’urukundo” Initiative in Collaboration with Nacham Africa for Hospitalized Patients
 / June 19,2025

As part of their initiative titled “Umutsima w’urukundo”, a group of young leaders, accompanied by their coach Aimé Ndizeye, chose to join forces with Nacham Africa’s mission to support vulnerable patients in public hospitals.

Today marks the beginning of the project, born from these young people’s desire to help others, a vision they developed after an enriching leadership training provided by the Centre for Leadership and Entrepreneurship (CLE).
This project aims to support Nacham Africa in funding breakfast for patients, particularly by providing bread hence the name of their initiative, “Umutsima w’urukundo”, which translates to “the bread of love” in English.

The day was opened by a speech of appreciation from Ms. Laure Maboko, one of the visionaries behind the project, followed by remarks from Ms. Esperance Bagona, Nacham Africa’s focal point at Prince Louis Rwagasore Clinic. On behalf of Nacham Africa and all the beneficiaries, she expressed deep gratitude to the young leaders and their coach for their commitment and shared words of encouragement to support them in this new humanitarian path they are embarking on.

The collaboration between Nacham Africa and these young leaders promises to be greatly beneficial for patients, who have already expressed their appreciation.
