In collaboration with the Ministry of Public Health and its National Integrated Program for the Fight Against Non-Communicable Chronic Diseases, NACHAM AFRICA conducted a Mental Health awareness campaign in the public hospitals of Kirundo, including Kirundo District Hospital, Kirundo Health Center, and Vumbi District Hospital.

Altogether, more than 400 people participated across the three locations, including patients, caregivers, and medical staff. The campaign aimed to promote mental health, highlight its importance, and break the stigma that still surrounds it.

The program featured a series of enriching activities, including a presentation on the current state of Mental Health, interactive theater sessions that allowed participants to engage openly with sensitive topics in a creative and accessible way.
Participants also shared personal experiences, fostering dialogue, empathy, and mutual support within the hospital community.
