Nacham Africa Engages in Strategic Exchange in Nairobi

 / March 30,2026

Nacham Africa recently met with Partners for Equity in Nairobi for a productive exchange, reaffirming a shared commitment to impactful collaboration.

As part of this learning visit, the Nacham Africa representative also toured food for education ’s operations. The day began with a guided tour of the Giga Kitchen, Africa’s largest green kitchen, which produces over 60,000 meals daily for children in Kenya.

Nacham Africa’s representative observed the full cooking process, the dispatch to schools, and daily cleaning all powered by steam generated from eco-briquettes. After this, came a visit to the Juja Kitchen in Kiambu County, one of over 30 centralized kitchens in their network. Producing approximately 20,000 meals daily using LPG gas, the facility ensures efficient, low-waste operations while delivering nutritious meals at an affordable cost earning them recognition as a “lean production champion” across the network.

A key highlight for Nacham Africa was learning about their innovative data collection system, Tap2Eat, which enables efficient tracking and management of meal distribution. This visit provided important learnings and opened the door to potential collaboration, particularly in strengthening data-driven approaches as data remains a key priority for us.
