16 days of activism campaign against Gender based violence towards women and girls

NACHAM AFRICA in partnership with UNFPA / BURUNDI in the 16 days of activism campaign against Gender based violence towards women and girls from 25 November to 10 December 2021 under the annual theme in BURUNDI: Act now to end violence against women and girls.

3 provinces among the top 5 in terms of the high number of cases of GBV in 2021 (KIRUNDO, KAYANZA, RUYIGI) were targeted during the awareness-raising activities that took place in the Hospitals with the sick patients and sick guards.

On the program were: Presentation on the differents types of GBV, Interactive theater with with testimonies of victims,Quiz on GBV and Distribution of dignity kits.

On December 9, 2021 at REMA hospital of RUYIGI

The campaign was wraped up on December 10 in concert with other local and international organizations involved in the fight against GBV in the camp for displaced persons at SOBEL site in BUJUMBURA.
